Backstory, the AI-first demand generation leader, is seeking a Senior Manager of Demand Generation to own how buyers discover us and convert into enterprise pipeline. You will manage paid media, AI tools, and partnerships, reporting to the SVP of Marketing and aligning strategies to hit an ambitious pipeline target.

You will drive SEO, AI-driven discovery, lifecycle nurture, and cross-functional collaboration with Product Marketing and Sales.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Demand Generation / Growth Marketing in a high-growth B2B SaaS or enterprise AI startup
• AI-forward operator with hands-on use of modern AI in campaign operations
• Winning pipeline ownership and end-to-end paid digital budgets
• Full-funnel lifecycle mastery across paid performance, CRO, and nurture streams
• Data & attribution rigor with CAC, payback, multi-touch attribution, CRM/MAP reporting
• Strong cross-functional partnership with Product Marketing, Creative, and Sales
• Curiosity, collaboration and impact-focused mindset

Responsibilities

• Own paid acquisition and performance marketing across search, social, display, and ABM with emphasis on pipeline and payback
• Manage agency partners and drive outcomes with experimentation and efficiency
• Lead SEO and AI-driven discovery including Google, AI engines, and other channels with technical SEO and site health
• Champion model strategy to increase brand visibility and recommendations across AI engines
• Build AI-powered automation tools for enrichment, personalization, research, and execution
• Own web performance and CRO, continually testing landing pages, messaging, and offers
• Lead lifecycle nurture and funnel optimization across MQL, SQL and Opportunity stages
• Co-own integrated campaign strategy with SVP of Marketing and measure impact via multi-touch attribution
• Drive performance creative strategy with agencies to optimize CTR and pipeline contribution
