Amazon, the AMZL organization in New York, seeks an experienced leader to oversee budget, people development and operations for a Delivery Station. You will direct a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers and drive safety, quality and customer experience while mentoring staff and aligning resources with the business plan.

You will partner with DSPs and internal partners to optimize performance, deliver lean improvements, and build leadership bench strength for scalable growth in a 24/7

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years’ direct management experience across salaried, hourly and agency workforce.
• Proven track record of delivering performance and financial results under pressure.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques.
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing including interviewing, hiring, and performance management.
• Strong analytical capability with data-driven problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills (local language and English).
• Experience managing third party resources on a regional/national scale.
• Experience managing contingent workforce during peak seasons.
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.

• Oversee safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all delivery station operations.
• Drive the station's vision and quality initiatives; lead lean change programs to meet business plans.
• Identify gaps between performance and goals and drive improvements.
• Set expectations for Operations, Area and Shift Managers; measure and hold teams accountable.
• Manage 24/7 delivery operations and relationships with DSPs.
• Present operational metrics to senior leadership.
• Hire and develop talent; implement a comprehensive talent plan for the site.
• Leverage managers to source ideas and implement improvement plans across the function.
• Foster a strong culture and engagement across the delivery station.
• Share best practices across departments and the network.
• Collaborate with Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, LP, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering to secure resources for initiatives.
