Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret after start. Ten years of software/systems engineering experience and ABET-accredited BS are required to qualify.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
• Conduct analysis of software defects
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
