Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Manager Business Management to oversee financials across multiple programs within the SMC2 area, reporting to senior leaders. The role blends forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial analysis to drive program success.

You will lead a team of program control analysts, develop LRSP and AOP, and support pricing, bids, and compliance with DoD standards. Onsite required with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 5 years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control; OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• Must be able to work onsite in Huntsville, AL
• Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong financial forecast acumen (Income Statement and Balance Sheets)
• Understanding of DoD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR
• Experience in managing EAC’s on challenging programs
• Experience with program proposals, cost and schedule control or program budgeting and forecasting for U.S. Government and International programs

Responsibilities

• Partner with the business area manager and other functional staff to oversee all financials aspects of the business
• Provide financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management as it relates to financial program status and analyses
• Manage risks with multiple contract types from both an execution and financial perspective
• Oversee a team of program control analysts supporting the various programs and efforts within the business area
• Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, program budgeting, estimate at complete development, and various financial reporting activities
• Develop business strategy and forecasting, through LRSP and AOP and present financial data, including variance analysis and forecasts to senior management
• Support pricing and proposal activities from draft RFP to award, including review of RFP, FAR clauses, coordination with subcontractor flow-downs, basis of estimates, indirect rates, pricing strategies, cash management, negotiation strategy
• Ensure compliance with all NGC policies (including EVMS), internal controls and disclosed practices and provide internal and External support of compliance audits
• Support miscellaneous program efforts as applicable
• Implement and manage program Estimates at Completion (EAC) in accordance with company requirements
