Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive technical engagements for the War Department business within the AWS Public Sector. You will define architectures, respond to RFPs and collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to accelerate cloud adoption.

You will lead security-focused design, guide customers through AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, EC2, and CloudFront, and mentor newer architects while working across Federal programs.

Qualifications

• Executive Speaking and Presentation Skills.
• Technical – development/deployment experience, cloud computing, containerization, networking, generative AI, etc.
• Operational – Web site/services operations, management, and security.
• Economic and business – RFP/Acquisition support; Technical architecture; understanding market trends; cost benefit analysis.
• Advisory/Consulting experience with War Department customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs.
• Develop expertise in AWS technologies and how apps/services are built on the AWS platform.
• Be a subject matter expert on security for customer applications and services.
• Lead knowledge sharing within the AWS solution architect community.
