Job summary

Athene seeks a VP Sales, Defined Contribution to drive retirement advisor sales for Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income across a national territory. The role builds on strong advisor relationships and industry knowledge to expand adoption and partnerships.

The position requires 10+ years in retirement plan sales, FINRA licenses, and a Bachelor’s degree. Base pay ranges from $200,000 to $275,000 with discretionary bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper teams.
• Strong command of advisor-led and recordkeeper channels.
• Knowledge of defined contribution market and ERISA fundamentals; expertise in private assets or guaranteed income.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to tailor approach to opportunities.
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; professional experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Drive annual territory sales targets across Apollo and Vitera DC offerings.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams; convert partnerships into local adoption.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors, cadence, milestones, and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations; coordinate with product specialists for depth.
• Partner with Apollo’s Global Wealth field counterparts to align coverage and insights; win together.
• Coordinate with recordkeeper partners on joint meetings; campaigns and opportunities.
• Use CRM data, market intel, and AI tools to refine targeting and maintain pipeline discipline.
