Job summary

Athene is seeking a VP Sales, Defined Contribution to drive sales of Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income to retirement advisors in an assigned territory. The role reports to the Head of DC Wealth Distribution and is supported by an internal wholesaler, with 70%+ travel within the territory.

We expect candidates to have 10+ years in retirement plan sales, established relationships with retirement plan advisors, and strong one-on-one/group presentation skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper teams.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 required.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales target across Apollo and Vitera DC offering.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams to convert partnerships into local adoption.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and presentations, collaborating with product specialists as needed.
• Coordinate with recordkeeper partners on joint meetings, campaigns, and opportunities.
• Utilize CRM data and market intelligence to refine targeting and maintain pipeline discipline.
