Job summary

Athene is seeking a VP of Sales, Defined Contribution, to drive Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income sales to retirement advisors across the territory.

You will build a territory plan, lead advisor education and events, and coordinate with recordkeepers and product specialists to win opportunities.

The role requires 10+ years in retirement plan sales, strong advisor relationships, ERISA knowledge, FINRA licenses, and a business/finance degree.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors, recordkeeper field teams, and defined contribution practices.
• Strong command of advisor-led and recordkeeper channels; ERISA fundamentals.
• FINRA licensing requirements: Series 6 & 63 or Series 7.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales target across the Apollo and Vitera defined contribution offerings.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams to convert partnerships into local adoption.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors, a consistent cadence, pipeline milestones, and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations, coordinating with product specialists for depth.
• Collaborate with Apollo’s Global Wealth field counterparts to align coverage and win together.
• Coordinate with recordkeeper partners on joint meetings, campaigns, and opportunities.
• Utilize CRM data, market intelligence, and AI tools to refine targeting and maintain pipeline discipline.
