Job summary

Marsh seeks a talented Senior Consultant to join our Investments and Retirement team. This hybrid role is based in Los Angeles, Denver, Irvine, Phoenix, San Francisco or Seattle and requires working at least three days a week in the office.

You will lead defined contribution clients, deliver plan/investment reviews, advise on investments and delegated OCIO services, and help grow client relationships across Mercer lines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of investment consulting or retirement plan advisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of defined contribution landscape and fiduciary topics.
• Ability to generate ideas and improve client delivery efficiency.
• Proven track record building intellectual capital for business development.
• Excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultant for defined contribution clients with plans from $25M to $500M (Sr. Consultant: $1M+ revenue).
• Support clients on plan investments, design, fee benchmarking, vendor management, fiduciary governance, and employee engagement.
• Present plan/investment reviews to clients for advisory/OCIO engagements.
• Develop scope of services based on client needs within DC landscape.
• Ensure timely, accurate client work and compliance in processes.
• Support business development, strategy, and opportunity development with teammates.
• Grow a book of business by strengthening relationships with clients and other Mercer lines.
• Serve as subject matter expert on defined contribution topics and inform clients of plan design and delegated OCIO offerings.
• Conduct plan document/SPD reviews and apply strategic plan design knowledge.
• Oversee RFP/RFI marketing process and present results to clients.
