Epsilon in Irving, TX, seeks an experienced Database Administrator to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of enterprise PostgreSQL and Oracle databases in 24x7 production environments. The role supports on-premises and cloud databases (AWS, Azure, GCP) and involves managing replication, DR, and migrations.

Responsibilities include automating workflows, patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with on-call rotations as part of the team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Proficiency with Oracle RAC.
• Experience with Linux/Unix, SQL, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, performance, and security of enterprise PostgreSQL and Oracle databases in 24x7 high-availability production environments.
• Support on-premises and cloud databases (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Manage replication, standby systems, Oracle RAC clusters, disaster recovery, and migrations including Oracle-to-PostgreSQL conversions.
• Automate DBA workflows, perform patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in on-call rotations.
