Qualifications

• 5+ years of DBA experience in complex enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting mission-critical production databases.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL.
• 5+ years of backup, recovery, cloning, migration, performance tuning, and capacity management.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-based DB platforms across Azure, AWS, and GCP (PaaS and IaaS).
• 3+ years of cloud migration, modernization, HA/DR solutions.
• 3+ years of performance optimization, including query tuning and indexing.
• 3+ years of scripting with Python and Shell.
• 2+ years with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL across on-prem and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Manage installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, security, and provisioning.
• Ensure availability, backup, recovery, DR, and data protection per RTO/RPO.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database and cloud platform incidents; participate in on-call rotations.
• Support storage, capacity planning, and change management across enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, application, and infrastructure teams to drive cloud modernization, automation, and improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to standards and best practices.
• Communicate risks and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
