Job summary

Apps Associates seeks an experienced database administrator to manage MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle databases across on‑prem and cloud environments in PAN India.

The role requires 3-6+ years of hands‑on expertise, cloud services experience (RDS/Aurora, Cloud SQL, Azure Database), and strong SQL tuning, replication, backup tools, and IaC. Flexible shifts and agile workflows are included.

Qualifications

• 3-6+ years of hands-on experience managing MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle core databases on‑prem and in the cloud.
• Experience with cloud-native database services like Amazon RDS/Aurora, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure Database.
• Proficient in SQL query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of replication topologies (asynchronous, semi-sync, group replication).
• Experience with backup and restore tools like mysqlpump, Percona XtraBackup, OEM, RMAN, etc.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (PMM, Zabbix, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Familiar with change management, release processes, and agile workflows.
• Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
