Job summary

Foley is seeking a senior Database Administrator to own reliability, performance, and availability of production databases. You will lead the administration and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server and Amazon Redshift, and shape high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies that meet business SLAs.

You will drive data warehouse operations in AWS and own the architecture to ensure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing production database environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server including performance tuning, indexing, and HA/DR.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data warehouse technologies, including Amazon Redshift.

Responsibilities

• Own database reliability, performance, and availability.
• Lead administration, monitoring, tuning, and optimization of SQL Server and Redshift environments.
• Design and maintain high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies that meet SLAs.
• Lead data warehouse operations in AWS and optimize architecture for performance, scalability, and cost.
• Partner with Data and Analytics teams to support reporting and AI use cases.
• Manage database security and access controls and ensure compliance with internal/external requirements.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Analytics teams to align solutions with needs.
