Job summary

Foley is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to own the reliability, security, and performance of cloud-based data platforms. You will manage SQL Server and Redshift, optimize AWS data warehouse architecture, and ensure scalable, secure data operations across the organization.

You’ll partner with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Business Leaders to design HA/DR, automation, and AI-enabled improvements that reduce manual work and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing production database environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing, and HA/DR.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data warehouse technologies, including Amazon Redshift.
• Proven experience securing databases and managing access controls in regulated environments.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and availability of databases and data warehouses.
• Design HA/DR strategies and backup plans meeting SLAs.
• Lead AWS-based data warehouse operations for performance and cost efficiency.
• Partner with analytics teams to support reporting and AI use cases.
• Drive automation and monitoring to improve operational excellence.
• Apply AI-enabled tools to scale and maintain DBA operations.
