Foley is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to own the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud-based data platforms. You will lead SQL Server and Redshift operations in AWS, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and strong security governance.

This fully remote US-based role collaborates with Engineering, Analytics, and Product teams to drive reliable data infrastructure. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of production database experience, deep SQL Server knowledge, and hands-on

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience managing production database environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing, and HA/DR.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data warehouse technologies, including Redshift.
• Proven experience managing database security, access controls, and permissions in regulated environments.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Infrastructure, Engineering, and leadership.
• Demonstrated AI fluency with automation to improve reliability and monitoring.

Aufgaben

• Own database reliability, performance, and availability.
• Lead administration, monitoring, tuning, and optimization of SQL Server and Redshift.
• Design and maintain high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Own AWS-based data warehouse architecture for performance, scale, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Data and Analytics teams for reporting and AI use cases.
• Manage security, access controls, encryption, and auditing across platforms.
• Partner with Infra and Security to ensure compliance with standards.
• Automate operations via scripting and AI-enabled tooling.
• Communicate risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
