Job summary

Foley is seeking a senior Database Engineer to own reliability, performance, and availability of our on‑premise and AWS data environments. You will lead the administration and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server and Redshift, design resilient HA/DR strategies, and drive cost‑efficient data warehouse operations in AWS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in production database environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server including performance tuning and HA/DR.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data warehouse technologies, including Redshift.
• Experience managing database security, access controls, and permissions in secure environments.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Infrastructure, Engineering, and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Own database reliability, performance, and availability.
• Lead admin, monitoring, tuning, and optimization of MS SQL Server and Redshift environments.
• Design and maintain HA, backup, and disaster recovery strategies that meet SLAs.
• Lead data warehouse operations in AWS and optimize architecture for performance and cost.
• Partner with Data & Analytics teams to support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Manage database security and access controls and ensure compliance with standards.
