Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve existing database systems and help design new solutions using SQL, Azure, and modern data platforms. You will work with management and cross-functional teams to define strategic data solutions, respond to incidents, and ensure SLA adherence.

The role requires 7+ years in database analysis or related field, hands-on SQL 2016+, and cloud experience in Azure.

Qualifications

7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.
Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
Extensive hands-on experience in SQL 2016 and higher.
Hands on experience with cloud-based database systems in Azure using Managed Instance, Azure SQL Hyperscale, Azure SQL DB, and VMs.

Responsibilities

Design, create, and maintain database objects across on-premise and cloud databases.
Review and approve complex structural changes to the database.
Optimize existing queries and develop efficient SQL code.
Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents including blocking and deadlocks.
Build and maintain database monitoring infrastructure for alerts and dashboards.
Support database security and compliance using encryption and data masking.
