Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Principal Database Administrator to ensure the stability, security, and availability of GovCloud databases supporting Epicor customers. You will design, implement, and support databases to meet business requirements, develop strategies, and monitor systems.

You will advise management, mentor team members, and promote best practices in database management, leveraging telemetry with Datadog to identify patterns and root causes.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience with at least 3+ years in a specialized area.
Bachelor degree or equivalent practical experience in IT/CS.
Ability to propose and implement ideas and lead a team to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Advise management on database concepts and translate specifications into standards-compliant designs.
Install, configure, and maintain DBMS software on servers.
Design and maintain complex databases with security and access controls.
Apply telemetry and observability practices to interpret metrics and improve reliability.
Deliver training and mentorship to other Database Admins.
Lead and manage database projects to meet deadlines.
