Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience with 3+ years in leadership roles.
• BS in information technology, computer science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to propose ideas, lead a team to deadlines, and manage schedules.
• Excellent written and oral communication; mentoring others.
• Analytical thinking and creative problem solving.
• Recognized as a thought leader and change agent.
• Expertise in running Microsoft Access queries and updates, with broad database management experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise management on database concepts and translate requirements into standards-compliant designs.
• Install, configure, and maintain DBMS software on database and app servers.
• Design, implement, and maintain complex databases including security and access controls.
• Apply telemetry and observability practices using Datadog or similar tools to improve reliability and performance.
• Deliver formal and informal training and mentor other Database Admins.
• Recommend and implement best practices and stay current with industry trends.
• Lead and manage database projects, ensuring deadlines and schedules are met.
