Job summary

Epicor Software Corp in Austin is seeking a Principal Database Administrator to ensure stability, security, and availability of GovCloud database environments that support customers. You will design, implement, and support databases to meet business needs and drive best practices.

You will lead a team, mentor colleagues, apply telemetry with Datadog, and collaborate with management to shape database strategy while maintaining high performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
• BS degree or equivalent in IT/CS or a related field.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and translate complex data concepts for management.

Responsibilities

• Advise management on database concepts and translate specifications into compliant designs.
• Install, configure, and maintain database software on servers.
• Design, implement, and maintain complex databases with security and access controls.
• Apply telemetry and observability using Datadog to improve reliability and performance.
• Deliver training and support to other Database Admins.
• Lead database projects and manage deadlines and schedules.
