Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior Data Specialist in Chicago to support an extensive EDRM workflow for a federal initiative. You will manage document processing, database loading, and data exports, ensuring compliance with ESI specifications and supporting attorneys throughout litigation.

The role requires eDiscovery experience, familiarity with multiple review platforms (LAW, Relativity, IPRO) and strong collaboration with the Litigation Support team.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred in computer science or related field.
• Knowledge of litigation discovery process and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow.
• Knowledge of Government IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server based applications preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows, document review software, and encryption methods.
• Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platform.
• Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote valued.
• Two years of experience performing eDiscovery roles including processing, conversion, culling, QA, databases, retrieval, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Performs file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads.
• Develops, evaluates and modifies methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.
• Ensures incoming productions comply with applicable ESI specifications.
• Exports data from contractor and client databases, including redactions and markup validation, ensuring exports meet ESI specs.
• Supports client attorneys, investigators and paralegals by tracking and processing documents, subpoenas, and data; creates and manages document review databases; produces documents in litigation; tracks produced documents.
