Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Data Solutions & Validation Senior Specialist to join the Financial Crimes team in NY/Denver/Westlake. You will validate, test, tune, and optimize transaction monitoring and filtering programs, partnering with AML surveillance, data, and engineering teams to ensure models meet regulatory requirements.

Based in a hybrid office, you’ll deliver defensible validation reports, manage changes, and apply AI/LLM capabilities to improve daily workflows while upholding data

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AML/Financial Crimes or risk management with focus on model validation or surveillance systems.
• 3+ years in verification, validation, testing, or tuning of AML/rules-based systems or ML models.
• Proficiency in SQL and using quantitative tools or programming languages (Python, R) for data analysis and model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent analyses of rule-based and ML surveillance models, data pipelines, and detection logic.
• Collaborate with software/data engineers and data scientists to verify implementations and test data flows.
• Tune and calibrate surveillance models to maximize risk detection while reducing false positives.
