Robinhood is seeking a Senior Specialist, Model Validation & Analytics, to validate, tune, and optimize transaction monitoring and filtering for Financial Crimes. You’ll partner with AML Surveillance, engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure robust models that meet regulatory requirements across domestic and international lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or financial field.
• 5+ years in AML/Financial Crimes or risk management, with model validation focus.
• 3+ years validating AML rule-based or ML models; knowledge of MRM principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming for data analysis and model evaluation.
• Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners; manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent analyses of rule-based and ML surveillance models and logic.
• Bridge between data engineers, software engineers, and data scientists for model evaluation.
• Tune and calibrate surveillance models while reducing false positives.
• Validate data pipelines and ensure data integrity in inputs feeding models.
• Provide SME insights in AML and Model Risk; support cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure sound solutions.
• Uphold change and issue management with thorough documentation for audits.
• Apply AI tools and LLMs to improve productivity and workflows.
• Produce defensible validation reports and executive summaries.
