Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Specialist, Model Validation & Analytics to validate and optimize transaction monitoring and filtering across Financial Crimes. You will partner with AML Surveillance, engineering, and data science teams to ensure models meet regulatory requirements across domestic and international lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a quantitative, technical, or financial field.
• 5+ years of experience in AML, Financial Crimes, or risk management with a focus on model validation.
• 3+ years in verification/validation/testing/tuning of AML/risk models and governance.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming (Python/R) for data analysis.
• Excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent validation and testing of rule-based and ML financial crimes surveillance models and logic.
• Collaborate with software/data engineers to evaluate model implementations and data pipelines.
• Tune and calibrate models to maximize risk detection while reducing false positives.
• Validate data integrity and end-to-end reliability of critical data pipelines.
• Document validation findings and provide actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Leverage AI tools and LLMs to enhance workflows and productivity.
• Prepare concise executive summaries and reports for internal audits and regulators.
