Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to lead the technical sales process and craft solutions for enterprise customers. You will demonstrate products, design architectures, and partner with Account Managers to show the value of Cloudera across hybrid environments.

The role requires 8+ years in customer-facing roles, strong presentations, and experience with cloud platforms, data engineering, and ML.

Qualifications

8+ years in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context.
Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations.
Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases.
One or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP).
Data Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales (customer satisfaction, upselling, and renewals).
Design solutions for customers using Cloudera technologies based on reference architectures and common patterns.
Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customer buy-in.
Partner with Account Managers to show customers the value of a Cloudera solution and drive sales outcomes.
Advocate for customers' needs to Product Management and Engineering.
