Job summary

Cloudera in the United States seeks a Solutions Engineer to provide both technical and business consultation to sales teams, prospects, and customers. You will design customer-centric AI/ML solution architectures, collaborate with engineering, and help drive adoption of Cloudera's data platforms.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in enterprise software and big data, strong Linux and SQL skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with full lifecycle of AI models from development to production deployment and retraining
• Experience with AI ecosystems including Generative AI solutions and development tools
• AI and/or Data Science use-case development
• Understanding data engineering vs applied science in practical scenarios
• Experience as a Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales Architect listening to customer requirements and designing architectures
• 3-5 years of professional work experience in a similar role
• Enterprise software and big data experience
• Understanding enterprise data governance, security, and operations
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
• Strong Linux skills and proficiency in Java/.NET and SQL
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of AI concepts and best practices
• Provide guidance in customer use-case discovery and requirements workshops
• Troubleshoot data science workloads
• Contribute to Cloudera community activities
• Create and deliver customer-centric solution designs
• Present architecture roadmaps and business outcomes to technical teams
• Define technical selling approaches for accounts
• Collaborate with sales for account penetration and success planning
• Understand competitive differentiators and the technology ecosystem
• Translate customer feedback into actionable roadmap items
• Engage in evangelism activities (blogs, meetups, events)
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to enablement materials
• Contribute to internal and external knowledge repositories
