Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a data-focused professional to design and develop scalable data solutions, driving self-service data consumption and AI-enabled capabilities. You will prototype solutions, mentor teammates, and optimize data infrastructure while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in data management, ETL, and BI tools, with strong skills in SQL, Python, and Power BI, and a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building production data pipelines, data solutions and Power BI dashboards.
• Experience with data quality testing frameworks and automated data tests.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in data management, warehousing or related environments, including ETL and scripting languages (Python).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data solutions enabling self-service data consumption.
• Prototype and develop data solutions meeting organizational needs.
• Stay up to date with data engineering advancements and tool adoption.
• Identify opportunities to apply Gen AI for data discovery, lineage summarization, and automated documentation.
• Design proofs-of-concept with multiple languages to meet requirements and test iteratively.
• Mentor junior team members and guide technical direction.
• Optimize and tune data infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Prioritize work based on customer value and manage complex deliverables.
• Ensure data quality with metadata, lineage, business definitions, and security."
