Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a data professional to design scalable data solutions and lead data engineering efforts, including building production pipelines and self-service analytics. You will prototype concepts, evaluate new tools, and mentor junior engineers to improve performance and cost-efficiency.

You will work in a hybrid model with in-office days near Plano, TX, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products and dashboards using SQL, Python, and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Master's in same or related disciplines strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including, but not limited to, working in NoSQL implementation, ETL, Java, scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell), and the Hadoop stack

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data solutions enabling self-service data consumption.
• Prototype data solutions meeting organizational needs; code scalable proofs of concept.
• Stay updated with data engineering advancements and tool evaluation.
• Apply Gen AI for data discovery, lineage summarization, and automated documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and optimize data infrastructure for performance and cost.
