Job summary

GovCIO seeks a Data Security Analyst — Master to lead enterprise security controls protecting data, networks, apps, and cloud environments. Deep hands-on Palo Alto, Panorama, Cortex, Strata, and Cisco skills are required for this senior individual-contributor role. This position is fully remote within the United States.

You will architect and operate firewall deployments, design security policies, and drive incident response, threat hunting, and automation initiatives across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity, network security, or security operations.
• Extensive hands-on firewall administration in enterprise settings.
• Experience with Palo Alto networks suites and Cisco security.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS, ISO 27001 or similar controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate enterprise security controls across data centers, campuses, cloud, and remote sites.
• Lead centralized firewall management using Panorama and policy governance.
• Develop detections, dashboards, and playbooks for Cortex and related tools.
• Configure segmentation, least privilege, and app‑ID/User‑ID controls.
• Collaborate with SOC, IR, Cloud, and Governance teams on remediation.
