Job summary

GovCIO seeks a senior Data Security Analyst — Master to lead enterprise security controls spanning data, network, and cloud environments. You will work hands‑on with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Cortex, and Strata, while collaborating with Cisco network teams to strengthen security postures.

This role requires deep technical experience, a strong understanding of security frameworks, and the ability to mentor others while driving architecture decisions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on firewall administration and incident response.
• Deep expertise administering Palo Alto next‑gen firewalls in complex enterprises.
• Strong experience with Panorama for centralized policy administration and HA workflows.
• Expertise with Cortex for security analytics, EDR, and SOAR capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and optimize Palo Alto firewalls across data center, campus, and cloud.
• Lead centralized firewall management using Panorama and standardize configurations.
• Design and maintain security policies with least privilege and app‑ID controls.
• Develop detections, dashboards, and runbooks using Cortex tools.
