Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead end-to-end AI/ML initiatives within the Commercial Data Science team. You will develop models, orchestrate deployment, and work with cross-functional partners to improve guest engagement and business value.

The role emphasizes data munging, feature engineering, hyper-parameter tuning, and experimental design within a hospitality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant data science experience.
• Experience in agile, sprint-based environments preferred.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, or customer-service oriented industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multiple complex DS projects with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on AI/ML model development and implementation.
• Enhance personalization and commercial strategies with analytics models.
• Develop, tune, scale, and deploy predictive models; orchestrate next best actions.
• Monitor and analyze model performance and CI/CD processes.
• Peer-review code and validate data pipelines and modeling approaches.
• Collaborate with data scientists and SMEs to deploy models.
• Work with analysts/engineers to define data requirements and preprocess data.
• Create presentations with insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Develop A/B test framework and optimize KPIs through experiments.
