Job summary

Medbridge is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to own predictive models end to end—framing problems with product and clinical partners, deploying in Snowflake, and monitoring impact across healthcare outcomes.

You will set modeling standards, ensure production-grade code, and collaborate with engineering, clinical, and product teams to ship data-driven features that improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A track record of models in production with deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
• Statistical depth to reason about how data were generated, model assumptions, and uncertainty.
• Strong Python and SQL with disciplined software engineering; Snowflake experience preferred.
• Experience with messy real-world healthcare data and outcomes evaluation.
• Experience taking a model from an open-ended business goal to a shipped feature with product and engineering.
• Judgement under constraint: explain tradeoffs and plan for future strength.
• Clear communication about uncertainty, limitations, and ethics with clinical/product leadership.
• Curiosity about new methods with prudent evaluation.
• A quantitative degree (statistics/biostatistics/computer science/economics) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own design, validation, and production operation of Medbridge's predictive models, starting with outcomes benchmarking.
• Set the methodological bar: select approaches, validate rigorously, document decisions for partners.
• Write production-quality code; tested, versioned, reviewed, and deployed in Snowflake with Data Engineering.
• Estimate product or program impact on patient outcomes using experimental and observational methods.
• Turn ambiguous goals into well-posed problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship models.
