Job summary

Medbridge is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to lead the data science practice and own end-to-end predictive and risk-adjustment models. You will collaborate with product, clinical, and engineering teams to ship models into production and monitor their impact on patient outcomes.

You will work in a remote-first environment, leveraging Python/SQL, and apply rigorous statistical methods, causal inference, and accountable AI practices to healthcare data.

Qualifications

• Degree in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, economics, or another quantitative discipline.
• Experience with patient data (EHR/EMR/claims) in a provider, payer, or outcomes setting.
• Experience building recommendation systems and measuring adoption and downstream impact.
• Experience evaluating generative AI applications in regulated domains (healthcare), including efficacy and safety review.
• Model development and production deployment experience end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, validation, and production operation of predictive and risk-adjustment models.
• Write production-quality code and deploy/monitor in Snowflake with Data Engineering partnership.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, clinical, and customer-facing teams to ship models into product.
• Set the methodological bar and document decisions for external review or audits.
• Evaluate impact on patient outcomes and how models are instrumented and monitored.
