Job summary

EY in the United States seeks a Senior Consultant to advance data protection and privacy programs for clients. You will define requirements, develop data lifecycle protections and help implement classification schemes and encryption across systems.

The role involves leading risk-based projects, collaborating with a global team and pursuing cybersecurity best practices while supporting client data resilience and privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of related work experience, or a graduate degree with 1–2 years.
• 2–3 years of technical architecture experience integrating data protection software.
• Knowledge of security concepts, vulnerability assessments, privacy assessments and governance.
• Basic understanding of networking, OS fundamentals, and security technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in three or more areas such as data leakage, DRM, encryption, PKI, logging and security event management.

Responsibilities

• Define technical and business requirements for data protection solutions.
• Develop processes and policies for data access control and lifecycle protection.
• Identify high value assets, classify data, and implement protections.
• Lead data loss prevention, data discovery, tokenization and encryption initiatives.
