EY seeks a Senior Consultant in Data Protection & Privacy within its Cybersecurity Practice. You will lead data protection strategies, develop policies, and implement capabilities to protect critical data across client environments.

The role requires evaluating controls, managing data lifecycle, and guiding privacy compliance across diverse industries. You will join an international team of specialists, access advanced security tools, and contribute to client resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ~2-3 years of related work experience (or graduate degree with ~1-2 years).
• ~2-3 years of technical architecture experience integrating data protection software into clients' infrastructure.
• Knowledge of security concepts and methods (vulnerability assessments, privacy assessments, incident response, governance).
• Basic networking (TCP/IP), OS fundamentals (Windows, UNIX), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Demonstrated experience in three+ areas: data leakage, DRM, encryption, data classification, logging/monitoring, secure information storage.

Responsibilities

• Define technical and business requirements for data protection solutions.
• Develop data protection policies and data lifecycle controls.
• Identify high value assets and implement data classification standards.
• Implement data loss prevention, data discovery, and encryption initiatives.
• Support cloud data loss prevention and DRM implementations.
