Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant for Data Protection & Privacy within the Cybersecurity practice to develop data protection strategies and implement solutions for client data security and privacy across industries.

The role involves leading technical and business requirements, building data protection processes, and supporting client data lifecycle protection with broad opportunities for travel and collaboration across EY’s global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of related work experience, or a graduate degree with 1-2 years of related work experience.
• Approximately 2-3 years of technical architecture experience integrating data protection software into clients' infrastructure and applications.
• Knowledge of general security concepts and methods e.g., vulnerability assessments, data classification, privacy assessments, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, architectures and governance.
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, mainframe).
• Demonstrated experience in three or more areas: data leakage, DRM, encryption, PKI, logging/monitoring, etc.

Responsibilities

• Define technical and business requirements for data protection solutions and develop data protection processes and policies.
• Identify, understand and protect critical data throughout the data lifecycle.
• Develop data classification schemes, standards and guidelines; implement data protection technologies.
