Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to lead the implementation, maintenance, and support of our data protection stack. You will work across on‑prem and cloud environments to deploy DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions, and collaborate with senior engineers on policy development and best practices.

The role emphasizes hands‑on configuration, incident troubleshooting, and automation using PowerShell and Python to drive efficiency and security posture improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Data Loss Prevention and information security.
• Experience deploying/maintaining DLP infrastructure across on-prem and cloud.
• Experience creating and managing DLP policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, sensitive information types, and tuning parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis for remediation.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and operations of protection software.
