Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join our team. You will implement, maintain, and support data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, focusing on DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions.

You will work with senior engineers to enforce policies, tune detections, and resolve incidents. The role requires strong scripting (PowerShell, Python) and experience with Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, and container orchestration.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell)
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Configure and tune data protection policies across platforms.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
