Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Platforms & Governance to lead data engineering, governance, and architecture modernization. You will oversee end-to-end data pipelines, ensure HIPAA/compliance, and drive cost-efficient cloud operations while guiding a team of engineers and data stewards.

You will manage cross-functional efforts across ERP/CRM and device data, migrate reporting to modern platforms, and define data quality and lineage standards in a regulated medical context.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of Power BI reporting from Snowflake to Databricks with zero downtime.
• Own end-to-end solution design including data integration pipelines and enterprise reporting.
• Oversee Medallion Architecture implementation (Bronze/Silver/Gold) in Databricks.
• Design complex data workflows merging clinical telemetry, ERP, and CRM data streams.
• Enforce data model design principles and optimize schemas for speed and quality.
• Mentor and manage data engineers, platform eng., and data architects; monitor SLAs and MTTR.
