Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Platforms & Governance to lead the data solutions powering analytics, AI, and product innovation. You will manage engineering teams ensuring a trusted, FDA-compliant data foundation and oversee architecture modernization including Medallion lakehouse and migration from Snowflake to Databricks.

You will drive end-to-end data pipelines, governance, and Gen AI readiness while mentoring teams and maintaining cost-efficient cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the tactical execution and day-to-day operations of data solutions powering analytics, AI, and product innovation.
• Manage engineering teams responsible for maintaining a trusted, FDA-compliant data foundation.
• Oversee architecture modernization including end-to-end solution design, Medallion Lakehouse implementation, and migration of enterprise reporting from Snowflake to Databricks.
• Design complex data workflows and highly available distributed systems integrating clinical telemetry, ERP, and CRM data streams.
• Enforce data model design principles and optimize schemas for analytical speed.
• Monitor and optimize workloads to reduce cloud costs and query latency.
• Mentor data engineers and platform engineers delivering end-to-end data pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, and FDA data integrity requirements across pipelines.
• Deploy data pipelines optimized for Gen AI adoption and track model lineage.
• Provide updates to leadership for roadmap planning and risk assessment.
