Job summary
Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Platform Engineering to lead a critical part of our Data Platform team as we scale data capabilities and client delivery. You will shape strategy, mentor engineers, and drive reliable, high‑impact data initiatives across cloud data stacks.
In this role you’ll partner with Product, Architecture, and Client Delivery to deliver scalable data ingestion, transformation, and governance.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in data engineering, platform engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years directly managing software or data engineers in a production environment.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives with delivery discipline.
- Strong engineering quality and operational practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing Data Platform engineering team.
- Translate priorities into delivery plans with scope, milestones, owners and risks.
- Maintain delivery discipline: estimates, sequencing, blockers, and capacity.
- Assess delivery risk and validate architecture with senior technical leaders.
- Build cross‑functional partnerships with Product, Client Delivery, and Engineering.
- Drive production reliability, observability, data quality, and incident management.
