Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to lead the architecture and evolution of the Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake, supporting observability, security, and telemetry data across the enterprise.

You will own the Databricks strategy, drive multi-cloud architecture, and oversee automation, governance, and platform-standardization to enable AI/ML workloads and analytics at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years architecting enterprise-cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years Databricks platform design and governance.
• 8+ years IaC, automation, CI/CD with Terraform/GitHub Actions.
• 7+ years streaming/telemetry ingestion (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).
• 5+ years leadership driving multi-cloud strategy and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Define and own architecture and multi-year roadmap for ingestion platform and data lake.
• Architect and scale high-volume ingestion across 250+ TB per day.
• Govern Databricks architecture including multi-cloud accounts.
• Lead IaC, Policy-as-Code, automated provisioning, CI/CD pipelines.
• Define security, governance, and observability practices with OTEL/OCSF.
