Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to act as the senior technical authority for architecture, governance, and evolution of the Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake enterprise-wide.

You will own the Databricks platform strategy across Azure, AWS, and GCP, define multi-cloud account structures, and drive modernization with IaC, CI/CD, and security governance, enabling AI/ML and analytics workloads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience architecting, building, and operating enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years of experience designing and administering Databricks platforms (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
• 8+ years of experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
• 7+ years designing and operating high-scale streaming ingestion architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
• 5+ years leading enterprise data platform strategy and multi-cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Define and own architecture, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the data platform.
• Architect and scale ingestion and processing across 250+ TB per day.
• Govern and design Databricks architecture and secure access models.
• Lead IaC, Policy-as-Code, and automated provisioning for platform operations.
• Drive security, governance, observability, and operational excellence practices.
