Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to lead the architecture and evolution of our unified ingestion platform and federated data lake. You will shape cloud-native data delivery across Azure, AWS, and GCP, focusing on governance, security, and scalability.

You will own Databricks strategy, drive IaC/CI/CD adoption, and partner with security, operations, and business teams to enable AI/ML workloads and observability while reducing fragmentation across platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience architecting and operating enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years designing and administering Databricks platforms with governance.
• 8+ years implementing IaC, CI/CD, and policy-as-code controls.
• 7+ years designing high-scale streaming and telemetry ingestion architectures.
• 5+ years leading enterprise platform strategy across multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for ingest platform and federated data lake.
• Scale ingestion/processing for 250+ TB per day across logs, metrics, traces, security events.
• Govern Databricks architecture, multi-cloud accounts, environment isolation, metadata & lineage.
• Lead Infrastructure-as-Code, Policy-as-Code, automated provisioning, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define security, governance, observability, reliability practices aligned with OTEL/OCSF.
