Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to lead the architecture and evolution of a unified ingestion platform and federated data lake across Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will own Databricks strategy, establish governance, and drive automation to support observability, security, and AI/ML workloads at scale.

The role requires a proven track record in cloud data platforms, multi-cloud architecture, and enterprise transformation, with emphasis on reliability, governance, and cost

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience architecting, building, and operating enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years of experience designing and administering Databricks platforms and governance frameworks.
• 8+ years of experience implementing Infrastructure‑as‑Code and CI/CD pipelines with cloud automation.
• 7+ years of experience designing and operating high-scale telemetry ingestion architectures.
• 5+ years in senior technical leadership driving multi-cloud strategy and platform transformation.

Responsibilities

• Define and own architecture, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake.
• Scale ingestion/processing for 250+ TB per day across various data types.
• Govern Databricks architecture including multi-cloud accounts, workspace strategies, and security models.
• Lead Infrastructure-as-Code, Policy-as-Code, automated provisioning, and enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive security, governance, observability, and open standards alignment across platforms.
