Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to lead the architecture, governance, and evolution of the Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake, enabling cross‑cloud observability and secure, scalable data processing for Azure, AWS, and GCP.

You will own Databricks strategy, drive IaC and policy‑as‑code, mentor teams, and partner with security, operations, and business stakeholders to accelerate AI/ML workloads and enterprise analytics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience architecting and operating enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years designing & administering Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• 8+ years IaC, automation, CI/CD pipelines with Terraform / GitHub Actions.
• 7+ years in high-scale streaming/telemetry ingestion architectures.
• 5+ years leading enterprise platform strategy across multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and own architecture and multi-year roadmap for data platforms.
• Lead security, governance, observability, and reliability practices.
• Mentor engineers and drive cloud-native engineering adoption.
