Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to own the architecture and evolution of a cloud-native data platform handling hundreds of terabytes daily across Azure, AWS, and GCP. You will drive Databricks strategy, governance, and platform standardization, partnering with security, operations, and business stakeholders.

You will lead enterprise-wide architecture decisions, promote IaC/Policy-as-Code, and enable AI/ML workloads with scalable, secure data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• 10+ years of experience architecting enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• 8+ years with Databricks including Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.

Responsibilities

• Define and own architecture, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the data platform.
• Lead enterprise-scale ingestion and processing of 250+ TB per day across cloud providers.
• Establish security, governance, and observability practices; drive CI/CD and IaC adoption.
