Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect on the East Coast. In this customer-facing role you will collaborate with customers, sales, and product teams to design architectures using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, demonstrate value, and guide implementation.

You will have 10+ years in pre-sales or consulting, deep experience with big-data tech, cloud providers, and data warehousing, and you will travel within your territory.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
• Experience with system integrators, financial services tech, or data providers is a plus.
• Experience building solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Undergraduate degree or higher in engineering or mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture, run proofs of concept, and validate integrations with cloud services and other applications.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demonstrations for customers.
• Promote open source projects across developer communities through meetups, conferences, and webinars.
• Travel to meet with customers in your territory.
