Job summary

Meta is seeking a Data Engineering technical leader to drive the data foundation, architecture, and analytics across platforms. You will partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to deliver scalable data models and insights for multiple products and domains.

The role emphasizes end-to-end analytics, governance, security, and efficient data pipelines, with opportunities to mentor peers and influence product decisions using data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in the data warehouse space and 10+ years in ETL design.
• 10+ years in OO programming languages.
• 10+ years in schema design and dimensional modeling.
• 10+ years experience authoring SQL statements.
• Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables and gaps.
• Experience communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients.

Responsibilities

• Drive the vision for data foundation and analytics across platforms.
• Own data architecture for large-scale projects and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Create frameworks to improve data logging and triage issues.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, PMs and Software Engineers.
• Define and manage SLA for data sets in ownership areas.
• Implement security models honoring privacy requirements.
• Design and launch data models and visualizations across products.
• Address complex data integrations and optimize ETL patterns.
• Mentor team members with actionable feedback.
• Optimize pipelines and dashboards to ease data artifact development.
• Influence product decisions using data.
