Job summary

Meta is seeking a senior data engineering leader to architect and scale data infrastructure across platforms. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions and governance across large-scale data sets.

Lead design of data models, MES and data pipelines, and implement privacy-focused data governance. Strong emphasis on mentoring, cross-team partnerships, and driving measurable impact with data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years experience in data warehouse space
• 10+ years experience with ETL design, implementation and maintenance
• 10+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages
• 10+ years experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
• 10+ years experience in authoring SQL statements
• Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies
• Experience managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients

Responsibilities

• Proactively drive the vision for data foundation and analytics across platforms
• Own data architecture for large-scale projects, weighing design and cost-benefit tradeoffs
• Create frameworks to improve data logging efficacy and triage data issues
• Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, PMs and Engineers
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets in ownership areas
• Implement security model aligned with privacy requirements and governance
• Design and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations for multiple domains
• Solve challenging data integration problems using ETL patterns and diverse data sources
• Assist in production processes, optimize code with advanced algorithms
• Improve pipelines, dashboards, frameworks and data artifact development
• Influence product and cross-functional teams to drive data opportunities
• Mentor team members with actionable feedback
